Elaine Walters McFerron is founder and teacher at The Writer's Studio in Virginia Beach, VA where she leads workshops in poetry, prose, and mixed genres. She holds an MFA in Literature and Writing from Bennington College in Vermont where she is also the MFA Program Alumni Newsletter Editor and the graduating class facilitator for parting academic lectures. At The Writer's Studio, she teaches workshops in poetry and nonfiction as well as provides individual tutorials in writing and literature. Her poems and prose have appeared in many publications including, Calyx, The Sun Magazine, and 5 AM. Her collection of poems, Double Solitude, was published in 2004 by Green River Press |
